While on a nature walk with my son in the Cheval Blanc Rapids area of the West island, I came across a deceased dog.
It was in the Cheval Blanc rapids nature park on the waterfront. It was a small to medium small dog with medium long, white fur. It appears to have been deceased for at least 5 days or more, hard to determine but it has been there for a while now.
I didn’t check for tags because of the state of the body, it was a bit too upsetting and I had to rush my 4 year old son away before he saw it. I am willing to bring any potential owners to the area where I found it but I cannot guarantee it will be there in its entirety for much longer (wildlife, post-mortem predation, the elements, etc.). I found it on an area that was previously flooded less than a week back.
I am willing to communicate through this email address : you[dot] dont[dot] have[dot] to[dot] be[dot] afraid[at] gmail[dot] com as well as my phone number 438-938-4095, if anyone thinks it is their dog and would like me to show them the area.
All I hope to do is give some closure to whoever is missing this dog so they can grieve properly. I am an animal owner and lover myself so it struck a chord with me and I am continuing to search Facebook, Kijiji and the Internet for whoever might have lost this poor dog.
