Dommage que votre municipalité à choisi l’organisme privé à but lucratif: Le Beger-Blanc…

Thanks for the info! The earliest I will be able to go is tomorrow evening. (Unfortunately that will have been 5 days since the cat was picked up!!!) They say their adoption clinic is open until 8pm so hopefully that is where I can look at the newly arrived animals. Also, I noticed that the original posting on craigslist has been deleted. Does anyone know how to contact the person who saw the cats being picked up?
Hi Ashley,
You can try the email below. It was the original poster’s email address on CL. It might still be valid even though the post has been flagged.
Following is a copy & paste of the original poster’s update that’s been flagged too :
“…I clearly remember what I saw. I was waiting for the 103 bus toward VM metro on Decarie corner Monkland. I noticed the man because he was holding that catcher tool they use – with the loop to grab the cat’s neck – that’s what piqued my curiosity. He was wearing a kind of uniform, carrying that tool and 2 cat carriers with cats in them. … See MoreHe put them in the back of the van – a white one with BERGER BLANC written on the side. He got in the driver’s seat and started writing on a clip board.
The tree next to me had a poster on it with a missing black cat, so I went to ask him what colors were the cats he had, to see if one might be the poster cat, and he described 2 cats to me – one grey striped and the other had mixed colors. That was is it. It was July 6 around 1:20 PM. ”

How can I get more information?? My missing cat is a grey tabby near that area! Do they euthanize immediately? I have no way of getting there as I’m working (even weekends).
Hi Ashley, I’m sorry about this. They’re not supposed to, but there’s another posting to clarify that this happened on the 6th of July. Here’s the link to the post.

You might contact the person as she seems to have seen the tabby.
Hi Ashley,
It seems it is the Only way you can know. Phone Calls are Worthless…..Send someone else that you know, pronto! Even though BB has reports of being very bad…..other shelters will tell you that you have to check & every day. They do not have enough people/volunteers to check things out.
Especially with Cats, it would be very hard, even if they could. Sorry…..they all look alike! With all the different Coloring/markings…… Tabbies….Calicos etc…….
And they would want the person to bring photos etc…… any proof of ownership.
Why are they picking up Cats in the Spca s territory? I am sure the City doesn t care but……
Correction…..it seems it might now be BBs territory as of July 1st. NDG/Ville de Montreal Website just wasn t updated yet. It says that Cote-des-Neige area also joins BBs territory.
Thanks Mary, I don’t know if you’ve refreshed your browser, I’ve updated the information already! It is their territory, I’ve called and confirmed with the borrough, and they’ve updated their site now.
