This baby posted last spring never was claimed, but did find a new family.

What brought Plato home was surely his family’s devotion and determination! Lost since April 14th in Ville-Émard, his family had searched and advertised relentlessly, but to no avail. He finally showed up on the SPCA website yesterday, having been brought in on the 9th by someone who had apparently found him in Montreal North, and had kept him for the week. Judging by his weight gain of 2 lb, he’s thought to have been in someone’s care during the last months. The most amazing part of this story is that his family are returning to New Brunswick in 12 days, and now can do so with this important and much loved family member! Hooray for Plato, lucky kitty!!

My friend Anaïs found this beautiful stray kitty near her home, postal code J7R 6P7, on René-Lévesque in St-Eustache… I think it’s a male but hard to say because he can not be approached… He spends his nights on the patio chair, on a blanket… He is fed by a neighbor but has no place warm for the winter… He seems injured because he has a wound on his shoulder … Some neighbours say he is stray since April… Thanks!

A sad update on this little wayward soul who had been reported found in April of last year :
After getting him fully treated, neutered, and dewormed, my husband and I decided to foster him until his new adopted family had their home built in Ontario. We kept him for a year and a half and named him Mr. Snicklefritz, unfortunately on Monday September 3rd this beautiful cat was diagnosed with FIP (feline infectious peritonitis) which is lethal, there is no cure, no treatments, or testing for this virus. He passed away at 3 1/2 and it is with a very broken heart that I send this message to notify you that Mr. Snicklefritz had a very difficult beginning living on the streets of Montreal but for the last year and a half he was a well groomed, vetted, fed, loved, and appreciated indoor house cat.
RIP Mr. Snicklefritz, you were loved.

An unexpected update on this boy who was found in April of this year, abandoned outside a McDonald’s for hours. (See comments.) I’m so happy that through the SPCA “Gomi” found a place where he’ll be loved as he should. (If it had been Berger Blanc in charge he likely wouldn’t be with us anymore.) Thanks to Daniel for letting us know that he’s okay and doing well!

I just got word that John Spencer is home!! He’s a thirteen year old black cat, who was missing in the Mile End/Plateau area since April 30th. I know people in the area are familiar with his posters, and well… they paid off! This is the message from his owner, who’s still in shock I think!

After 1 month 26 days on his own, John Spencer was found last night + he’s OK!!
Spotted the night of June 25th, in Outremont Park by a guy named Felix (and his friends), who did not want any reward.
He was also being fed by a couple every other night in the park, I was told (they too eschewed the reward money). He was just sitting by a large fountain, very skinny but recognizably himself. 8 blocks from his home, almost 2 months on his own… crossed many a busy street (Ave du Parc notably) and persevered through weeks of stormy weather…
Pretty good for a housecat that’s never been outside on his own! He is back to his old habits, and is eating, drinking from the faucet, etc. Going to the vet tomorrow, where he will soon have his very own collar and ID tag. Thanks to everyone for looking for him, and sending me leads, messages etc.
I am elated and continuing to pinch myself.
Dan
This is great news, no one could be more deserving! I know there was so much effort put in to get him home, and it’s great to see this happy ending. Long live John Spencer!

Pisica was lost on April 18th on Ranger street in Île-Perrot. She is a black long-haired cat with a petite physique and a really bushy tail. She has yellowy green eyes and was last seen wearing a green collar. Her two front paws are declawed. I wouldn’t say she’s particularily friendly to strangers but I wouldnt say that she’s physically aggressive. We would really love for her to come home so our family can be complete. We are also offering a reward of 100$ to who ever finds her. Thank you for your help.
P.S. The cat’s name is Pisica but she also responds to Pissy.
