Hi, I’ve found a beautiful young cat since early last week. (March 1st). Although he had no collar, he is surely lost or abandoned as he was just waiting in front of the garage. He was clean and well fed and did not appear roughed up. My Mom took him in and has been with her since. I have checked several lost and found sites as well as having been on the look out for postings in the neighborhood but have found nothing.
I will try to get a picture asap, but in the meantime he is a young male cat, approx 1 year old. He is a little shy but friendly, he is black and white with black around the eyes and a black stripe along his back.
He was found on 25th Avenue in St-Michel. If anyone thinks this may be their cat, please e-mail me a picture for identification. Thanks very much, Angela.

This dog was either taken or ran away in fear, when a car was broken into, in the parking lot of Barbie’s restaurant in Laval, between the hours of 8:00 and 10:00 pm. She’s a 5 year old, black cocker spaniel, answering to the name Mousse. She could be absolutely anywhere, so send this to all of your friends and contacts! I’ve attached the forwarded poster. It can be printed and posted in as many places as you can think of!

Beagle, fixed, male named Sammy lost Sunday February 28th. Last seen running towards Super C on Atwater and Levis (beside Atwater Market) If seen, it’s best to lure him with food. Please keep your eyes out in nearby neighbourhoods, as he could be anywhere now!
Contact asap if found : paws[dot] for[dot] life[at] hotmail[dot] com

A happy ending for this handsome kitty. Julie, who had found him just before Christmas, has let me know that they’ve decided to keep him, after no one claimed him! This is the note I received!
I just thought you’d like to know what happened to the kitteh who found us before Christmas… after no luck finding the owner we decided to keep him! We recently had him neutered and yesterday he had his final shots. He’s been steadily putting on weight (he’s still lovely and sleek though), and is turning out to be a really wonderful cat.
We called him Kikko but he also goes by Kikkolicious, Kikers, Koko, MeowserMeowMeow (he got this name in the weeks before his operation when we decided not to let him outside so as to not add to the already over-populated neighbourhood, it was like having a newborn baby the amount of times he would wake us up in the night!), and Goober.
Anyway, thanks for your help in trying to find a home for him… turns out he’d already found his home, right here with us!
Congratulations to Julie on her new family additon. Another sterilized and removed from the street and in a loving home to boot!

We found a black cat with just a little white on his chest around the beginning of December. We don’t want to post his picture just in case someone wants him but he’s not really theirs. He was found in Verdun around Beurling and Allard streets.
I can be reached at lindze_1[at] hotmail[dot] com or 514-816-5834. Thanks, Lindsay

This pretty, young kitty found in December 2009 in Laval-des-Rapides now has a new home, and a new, very little friend to play with, thanks to Vanessa and Isabelle’s tireless efforts!

Well, if you are looking for this pretty cat, she’s been given to Gerdy’s Rescue. Thanks again to Isabelle, for keeping me informed. They should all be so lucky!
UPDATE : Cassandra has found a new home ! I’m happy it worked out for her !

A male cat has been feeding off garbage and compost around my house for several weeks. He would flee whenever I would try to get close to him but he came around and now is in my heated garage and eating proper food. He is a big brown tabby male with a lot of black stripes on his back, white paws with extra fingers (the extra fingers are beige) and green eyes. He is very affectionate and just wants to be petted. I can’t let him in the house or keep him because I have 3 other cats (2 of them male) and a small dog.
Thank you for posting his picture. Hopefully, someone is looking for him.

I live in the area of St-Michel street in Longueuil and my long haired black cat is surely lost as she hasn’t come home since the night of Wednesday, July 22…She’s about 5 weeks pregnant and I would like to be there for her delivery (around the end of August)…And also, she has a lilac coloured flea collar.
If you see her call me at 450-646-5121…please
UPDATE JAN 17TH : A rather disturbing update. The same owner has 2 other cats disappear. The two newly missing are called Puce and Belle. They could be anywhere, so if you live in the same area, be extra vigilant! This is the note I received (translated from french) :
I never found her even after clearing the area around my house, after putting up posters on poles and announcing on the Internet. Since that time, a friend gave me two adorable kittens, that are now also missing…The last went missing on Wednesday, January 13.
There’s something happening in my neighborhood, I think…This is not normal…My cats have always worn a collar and they always came back and never strayed far…I would just call or shake a bag of treats and they appeared! Anyways, I send you their pictures and perhaps by some miracle, somebody would have seen them?
If anyone has information to add, please contact me!
UPDATE : JAN 26TH : Happily Belle has shown up! Hopefully the others will follow!

Odin was found and is safe and sound at home ! Yay Odin!

I found a cat, completely black, Saturday December 19th, 2009 in Lac André à La Plaine (Terrebonne). Declawed on her front paws, clean, playful and well behaved.

I just received a happy note from Marie-Christine (translated here from French) Gwel had disappeared from outside a shop!
Hello! I found my dog! A lady who saw him walking down the street called the police this morning. He was in great shape, everything clean, tail brushed, and his leash was not dirty at all (a sign it did not drag through the streets for 3 days, but that he rather stayed with someone who had taken him). Thank you very much for your help, because it encouraged us and helped us find him! To all those who are searching for their pets, I say do not stop your search until you have it solved. There is always hope and we must put heart and ingenuity into finding a lost or stolen pet !
Agreed! Welcome home Gwel!
