Three dogs found on Highway 117 – adopted!

dogs found in Leverenderie

Today, at around 1 pm, I was on my way back home (traveling between Val Dor, QC to Montreal). During my travels in the Parc Laverendrie, I encountered three dogs next to the highway. I immediately decided to pull over to the side of the road to investigate. There was no sign of any town nearby, and the dogs seemed to be very skinny. Two of them had a rope around their necks with an end that had been chewed off. All three dogs were sticking together. I managed to bring two of the dogs in my car. The third dog was very scared. But after a good 15 minutes and some food, I was able to get him to eat out of my hand, to show him that I can be trusted, and to bring him also into my car. Since I already have two dogs, I would be unable to adopt these wonderful beings. But I would like to start by posting their pictures on your website, to make sure no one has lost their dogs in the region approximately 40km North of Le Domaine.

UPDATE – JAN 22 :  These three dogs now have a second chance with their new families. All three have been adopted through the SPCA Labelle! I hope they all have the long happy lives they deserve! Thanks to Marc for saving them, and making sure they were safe, and for following their progress.

Kouna

Kouna

Hello, I am looking for my dog. She’s a husky, she is blonde, tan, her eyes are golden brown and she has 2 collar, a normal black one and the other is a choker. She is called Kouna and is 2 year old. We live in St. Liboire, near St-Hyacinthe. She is missing since January 2, 2012. We advised the SPAD Drummondville and Caramel Foundation in St. Valerian-de-Milton. A man is believed to have seen her in St-Joseph, in St-Hyacinthe, headed for St-Pie, but we have not found her. She is very nice, but right now a little nervous, according to the man. Distinguishing feature , she looks like a wolf or coyote. Please help us to find her, we miss her terribly, my family and I. Thank you for your help!

Puppy found in South West Montreal

dog found in Centreville

My colleagues and I are trying to find the owners of this puppy who has been brought to us at the vet clinic we work at (Clinique Vétérinaire Jasmin on Guy between St-Antoine and St-Jacques). He seems to be a Husky/Lab mix, about 3 months old. Blonde with one brown eye and one blue eye and a light blue collar but no tags. He weighs 30 lbs.

He was found 3 blocks west from the clinic. The clinic’s address is 740 rue Guy, Montreal, QC H3J 1T4. He knows how to sit and give the paw (spoken in french). My friend and colleague, Emmy, will be keeping him at her house until we find his owners.

She can be reached on her cell phone at 514-268-6979. Thanks for your help,
