I lost my black and tan miniature dachshund Pablo, 11 lb, on Sunday. As he was already paralyzed, I must give him medication. He has a medal with my name and address. I lost him at Parc Lafontaine. My address is on Goulet, Montreal.

Just devastating and incomprehensible news about Virgule. He was recovered, found with a bullet in his neck. Why would anyone do this to a family member. Please help in any way you can, to find the culprit(s) so justice can be served. I’m broken hearted for the family, and disgusted with whoever could have done this to such a beautiful little soul. Here are the details on where he was found.
I found Virgule about ten feet from the railway, about 200 meters south of the high voltage power line. Everything is south of Celeron Boulevard in Blainville. When I found Virgule I didn’t suspect a shooting death, it’s when I got him home, I tried to prepare him to make him presentable for Josée and Mark Antony because that they were anxious to see him. While I was drying his hair and as I brushed him, I realized he had a hole at the bottom of his head near the neck. I cleared his fur and I saw this neat hole like a bullet hole. I suspect this is a .22 caliber rifle but I’m not an expert. Anyway, there were over three hundred posters that we had stuck around this neighborhood, all agencies for animals had been advised, on the internet and hundreds of people knew. Whoever did this has no excuse.
My condolences to the family for their loss, and for the hard lesson learned by a little boy who loved his dog and doesn’t understand why this would have happened. RIP beautiful Virgule.

3.14 was found, through a chance meeting!
It’s crazy! While we were putting posters in the street, a skaterboy told us that one of his friends found a teckel last week! So we found his friend, showed him a picture of 3.14 and he said it might be him!!! We went to his home and 3.14 was there! He was renamed Maurice!!!
He’s now home and is once again 3.14!

Small, intact male dog found on Sunday, October 9, 2011 at 4:45 p.m. near Masson and Bourbonnière. The dog appears to be a pinscher mixed with dachshund. Brown dog. Ears and tail are uncut.
The collar has two medals: one of the city (# 571 060 2001) and a medal of his veterinary clinic (Masson Veterinary Clinic). I contacted the city and the number on the medal is not in the computer system of the City. I also contacted the Berger Blanc to see if anyone has lost this kind of dog.

Hello, I lost my dog Friday night July 15 in the area of the envy of Lachenaie at around 11:30pm, near Chesnaye and Pierre-Le Gardeur. She is named Fiji and is red colored (photo is an example only). She is a dachshund (sausage), is 5 years old but is very timid in nature.
She’s not wearing a collar or medal so if you find her please contact us, there is a family that is waiting for her impatiently. 514-917-2546 or 450-582-0166

I found a male black and tan dachshund this morning in front of the gate waiting to go into the dog park in Girouard park in NDG. He had no collar and is not microchiped. This guy is overweight and not neutered. He is extremly friendly and loves to play.
If you think this is your dog you can get in touch with The Animal Health Clinic (514) 369-9119 and they will get a hold of me.

Since yesterday we have a small brindle male dachshund mix at our Refuge. He had been found in Montreal before yesterday (Thursday, February 3rd). We’ll try to find his owners for a week then we’ll take care of him (castration, vaccinations, deworming) and try to find him a new family.
Thank you very much to help us find his owners!
