German shepherd spotted on Langelier Boulevard

german-shepherd

I saw what looked to be a German Shepherd who was clearly lost, yesterday around 4:15pm close to Langelier Metro. I’ve attached a picture of what it looked like. It’s fur seemed a bit longer and it’s hind legs weren’t so low, so it may have been a mix of some sort. I called the local pd and they said they would send someone to check it out, but I don’t know how that went. The dog was crossing Langelier Boulevard back and forth, walking quickly up and down the surrounding small streets. This was between Sherbrooke and Rosemont, on and around Langelier Boulevard.

*nb- same dog had been spotted in the morning!

UPDATE : This dog was caught! Details are here!

German shepherd found in Mercier

At 4pm today, we had to bring this German Shepherd home with us since he was running around on Mignault close to Langelier street and down from Rosemont, and he just missed being hit by a car. He seems to be very tired and hungry. He is a male and quite tall. I contacted the local police to see if anyone was looking for him and they told me to call 311 for them to do a research, but only tomorrow since they’re closed. I hope someone is looking for him.

Bosco – found!!

Bosco

There was dramatic rescue off the ice at Nun’s Island yesterday, of which pictures can be seen on the Montreal Dog Blog, and then some tense hours while we waited for confirmation of his identity!  Bosco was originally lost in Côte-St-Luc on Jan 14th and somehow wound up stranded on the ice! Bravo to the firefighters who rescued him. He’s one very lucky dog!

*There is still a missing german shepherd, and perhaps she is still running in Montreal, Shanghai, an eight year old visually impaired female. I hope she’ll also be found soon!

Dog on the run in Mile End!

Message on my facebook this morning :

I just saw a dog in Mile End on the corner of Van Horne and Esplanade. It seems a bit like German Shepherd with a dark face, long red/brown fur and a fairly large gold medal. He was alone, his fur was all matted and dirty and his tail was between his legs, he seemed to be afraid. He crossed Van Horne and missed being crushed by the cars. He looks to have been abandoned for awhile. He went towards the Van Horne Viaduct. I’m hoping that someone will recognize him.

If in the area please keep an eye out!

Rox

Rox

Hello we lost our dog, a one year old German Shepherd named Rox, in St-Césaire on St-Francois, near the bike path, on October 16, 2011 between 4- 5pm. A man would have embarked her into a blue caravan with other colors… and a driver-side sliding door (information that a neighbor gave us). She has upright ears, she is black and tan. And unfortunately, she did not have a medal on this day! We miss her tremendously!

If you have information or have seen our dog thank you to contact us! 450-469-3356 or 514-295-9480 ask for Melanie or Léo or by email :

Shangai

URGENT!!

Here is Shangai. She is a German Shepherd, 8 years old, lost since yesterday night in Notre-Dame-de-Grace, Montréal. She is possibly blind and might be suffering from Bordetella (Kennel Cough). She had a red leash attached to her collar. She has a microchip : FDXA 1368394748.

If you see this dog, please contact the Montreal SPCA at 514-735-2711 ext. 2224 or 2250, or bring her to our establishment located on: 5215 Jean-Talon Ouest, Mtl, H4P 1X4, as soon as possible!! Thank you very much!

*Last seen on the corner of Décarie and Jean-Talon, she was scared of the traffic.

UPDATE – JAN 18 : Finally a solid lead. Shanghai was seen on Saturday on Cavendish and Sherbrooke around the Benny apartments, a woman tried to catch her but to no avail she kept running, there also was a city of Montreal truck trying to catch her… she still had her red leash on.
She was seen around 3800′s Cavendish, and she was followed for a couple of streets down and then she ran back up towards Cavendish. If you see her please do not run after her her.
