Modjo – found!

Modjo had been lost on January 23rd after a car accident when he had taken off running. Amazingly, the tip came in from Basia about a sighting in Parc Jarry less than ten minutes before I received the notice of his disappearance, so they were notified and were able to recover him from the Park, (thanks Sofia to have called them). He has suffered a serious leg injury, but I understand they are just happy to have him home!

Dog loose in Parc Jarry – was Modjo!!

I unfortunately saw a smallish dog (about up to my knee in height) wandering loose in Parc Jarry. Around 12pm.

The dog is white with a light brown patch on its head and short fur. It has a collar and tags. It seems very frightened and disoriented. It also looked quite slim as its ribs are visible. I couldn’t get close enough to see if it is a male or female. This poor thing must be very cold. He looks like a cross between a jack russell and pit bull???? I tried to get close however, the dog ran away numerous times. The terrain in Parc Jarry is quite dangerous and extremely icy. I returned to leave some dog food.

Some of the Parc Jarry employees know about the dog, however, I doubt they will do anything. I wonder if this little dog is drawn to the dog park? It was last seen running towards the skating rink/ frozen pond.

UPDATE – JAN 28TH : As suspected this was Modjo, who is now back home!! A huge thanks to Basia for sending in this notice, as the next post I received after was from Modjo’s owner, and the connection was made right away!!! Details are on his post!!
