I know I wasn’t the only one worried about this beautiful young cat, found during a snowstorm in early February, and picked up by the local pound. I was afraid to ask what had happened, but I’m so relieved and happy to learn that the cat was not only taken back from the pound later in the week, but was also adopted by the same family, when no one came forward! Phew!! She is now called Chanelle!
Also, just to clarify, it wasn’t known that the cat would only have three days to be claimed or adopted before being euthanized. This was learned only when animal control showed up and at that point they were told they had no choice but to give her up!
