cats found in Mascouche

I’m sending photos of 2 cats that I’ve been feeding for about 2 months. The two seem to be stray and since we already have  3 cats, we cannot keep them. However, I don’t want to bring them to a shelter, being adults, I worry they’ll be euthanised. So, I’ve decided to find their family or a new one.

Thank you kindly to display their photos. They roam in the area of Des Saules street and Grande-Allée in Mascouche.

Missing since March 26th, E.T. was finally found last night! Fantastic news!

A few months ago I had posted links to 2 different petitions on the Petluck facebook page. One petition was to free two dogs seized because of BSL laws, in Brampton, and has obtained an impressive 10,500 signatures. (The petition is closed but the facebook group is here; 11,138 members to date!) And yet the petition against gas chambers, which affects so many, has only 2253 so far! I wondered if it was because the petition to free the two dogs was made more compelling, as the issue has a name and a face. If that’s the case, then all one needs to do is imagine it’s our own pet facing a terrible death in such a barbaric manner, as so many have already experienced, and that should be enough to want to sign here I think! (And please share with friends!)

There will be a march to demonstrate against the use of gas chambers in Quebec and across Canada, organized by the Canadian Volunteers for the Protection of Animals. The group will assemble on April 17th at 1pm in Lafontaine Park, at the Chalet Calixa-Lavallée on Calixa Lavallee street, and will continue on Cherrier to Carré St-Louis. You can find street parking by Calixa Lavallée or by Emile-Duployé. Parking is free for 3 hours.

Georges Laraque (from the NHL), Patricia Tulasne (actress), Julie Snyder ( Productions J), Jacques Godin (actor) as well as many others will be present!

Shrek disappeared in Vimont, close to the Cité de la Santé, two weeks ago. He’s a small yorkshire, long haired on his face, but shorter haired on his body. He’s not more than one and a half years old. His owner has been searching non-stop and is offering $500 reward to whoever took him, or found him. He suspects he was stolen as it’s not like him to run away. He weighs about 6 lbs. He’s very small and playful, a bundle of energy.

We have found a dog that looks like a labrador basset cross(?!?) who is short legged. Found on the morning of March 26th. He’s a male with a red fabric collar. We live in Longueuil, close to the St-Hubert dog park.

We are in a total PANIC!!! We are looking for a shih tzu that was dumped in the streets. Witnesses saw him cross the highway 132 in St-Constant and the patrollers of AMR responded. Once on the scene the shih tzu was located on the side of the turtle river. The patroller was able to corner him but we were shocked when he decided to dive into the river. Helpless, we watched him drift away in the current until he made in on the bay.

We imediately posted him in the local newspaper and he was picked up by someone whom resides in Brossard. We were contacted by the person and was given the horrible news that he has once again escaped.

The problem is that he is no longer on our territory. We are very worried as to what will happen to him. The police have been contacted and we hope that if anyone finds him they will contact us!

Please help, we want to be able to give this precious soul a new life! The picture above is of a shih-tzu who looks very similar to the dog we are looking for. But he is all cream colored and very dirty.
