cat found on Brebeuf

I am trying to locate a cat that’s been stray for years, who stays in the alleys of De La Roche, Brebeuf, Chambord Street between Mt-Royal and Gilford. He’s striped with white paws (now gray). He’s extremely thin and the hair that remains is full of knots. So he needs to be treated urgently. I can’t approach him, or draw him near with food, because he refuses. Someone is feeding him, knows where he stays most often? I could put a cage-trap there. It looks like the cat in this picture, but in a much more precarious state. Thank you.

UPDATE JUNE 6TH : From Raymonde (translated) : Finally he’s started to come onto my balcony. So I’ll try to catch him, and bring him to a vet. I hope to find him an adoptive family as he deserves it after all these years as a stray. If you know someone who’s interested to take him…

UPDATE + PHOTO – JUNE 9TH : From Raymonde (translated) : He’s been stray for years, so useless to look for his owner. I’m ready to pay for his vet care and sterilisation but I hope with all my heart that someone will want to adopt him after. He’s a male, tabby beige/black, who deserves to have a better future.

UPDATE  - JULY 25TH : Auguste as he had been dubbed, had finally been caught, but sadly had tested positive for FIV. After all these years surviving on the street, it was decided that not only would finding a home for him prove difficult but that he would not adapt very well to life as an indoor cat, so it was decided that he needed to be euthanized. A decision that surely was not easy, His fate is that of many cats that are left to the wind. RIP beautiful boy.

Grisbouille

Grisbouille has finally been found this Tuesday (July 13th), she’d been lost since the end of May, so great news indeed!

Bella

I received an update on Bella, who was finally found on June 8th. She had been lost in Longueuil since mid May. It’s a bit of a mystery, as she was found across the highway, in Old Longueuil, and somehow had made it there with an injured leg. It was the neighbour’s daughter, speaking with a school friend who said she had found a cat in a garage beside her home, that made the connection! She is now at home recovering from an operation on her leg, with her owner’s other cats! I can’t help but marvel at the fortunate circumstances that led her to be found! Get well soon little Bella!

Taminoune

Taminoune had been missing since May 30th, but returned home on Friday night, thanks to her id tag! She’s lost some weight and is sleeping a lot, but all things considered is quite well! Yay!

Bibi

My little red cat is lost! His name is Bibi and responds well to his name. He will be 2 years in July. Unfortunately, my vet says that he had a heart murmur of 4/5 at birth. It is a little better, but he’s quickly out of breath! He’s operated, but not declawed. Please, he is my love! Help me find him! I live next to the Centre Marcel Giroux, so if there is something contact me at:

438-869-9348 or 438-882-1205 and leave a message! Thank you very much in advance! I lost him on May 20th in Verdun.

cat found

Happily this cat found in Pointe Calumet was new to the neighbourhood, and his owner’s were found not too far away! He’s back home, but still visits to play with the cat!

Frost

After being lost for about a week, Frost was taken in from the rain by a wonderful couple and spent the night with their dog and 3 kitties, and is now back home with his family! He’d strayed quite far from home too!

cat found on Lajeunesse

Found on Lajeunesse, between Villeray and Gounod.  I’ve been feeding him on and off for the last few weeks now, but since the last week he’s adjusted to my schedule and waits at my door every morning. He is an unneutered male who appears not to have seen the inside of a house for a long time.

I received a note this morning alerting me to a cat that was sadly found deceased.

I have some sad news to report. I thought I would inform you that this morning as I was driving in on the 20 East on the exit St-Jacques/Angrignon that there was a dead cat. The cat was a charcoal grey color. It was either very young or female because it was quite small. I thought maybe if someone had lost this cat and would like some closure (or to at least give it a proper burial) that I would inform you.

I’m sorry that someone might be hurt by this news, but still hope this cat was being looked for, and wasn’t abandoned…

HakuHaku is back at home!

After more than 50 hours outside, I found my cat last night, stressed and smelly, but safe and sound! A neighbour came to tell us that she heard him at 2:00 AM. I actually used all your tricks (really!) as well as those offered by a nice volunteer from the SPCA.

Great news!
