Well this lovey found in Ville Marie also was never claimed, but he was vaccinated, neutered, microchipped and has found a great new home with a colleague of his finder, and he has a new kitty companion too!

I’m hoping to provide a good tool for reuniting lost and found pets with their owners. Send the information on the pet you’ve lost or found to petluckblog@gmail.com with a picture (jpeg) if possible and any details, and I’ll publish it for you here. Please be clear as to the text and contact information you want published! I’ll need, of course, the closest address to place it on the map. (a postal code works really well) I also highly recommend subscribing to your post once published, so that you’ll receive any comments left for you without delay, as they cannot always be forwarded. The form to subscribe will be found just underneath your ad. To access it click on your ad title. (If your notice hasn’t been published within 24 hours, I didn’t receive your message!)
I also wanted to provide some useful tips as well as links to places that you might also think about listing. As well as putting up posters and checking shelters there are many places to list and not everyone’s familiar with them all. Please feel free to send me any useful links that I might miss. You’ll find them on the tips and links page. I’m hoping that the site will stay as up to date as possible, and that even if you’re posters are down and listings dropped down further on the classifieds sites, your pet will stay on the map till you’re hopefully reunited.
The only thing I ask in return for this service is that you please keep me informed if you find your pet, or found the home of the animal you took in. It’s important that the blog be as up to date as possible for it to be most effective. I can’t stress enough how important it is that the attention is completely focused on those still in need. And besides, I’d love to know how things turned out, as would many of my readers! over the years I’ve come to realize just how valuable the happy endings are in helping people to stay positive. And if you think the site is worthwhile and want to see it continue, please consider donating the price of a cup of coffee, your support is much needed. Thanks!
IMPORTANT : On the links page I have included those to city shelters. The Montreal SPCA has a blog where they post their strays, including pets being held by the people who found them. A.M.R. also has a page for their strays. Berger Blanc, has finally started to publish their strays (July 14th, 2011). But it’s still very important to physically go and check the shelters. Animals are often only kept for 3-5 days depending on their age, condition, and time of year, and if unclaimed they are then either euthanized or put up for adoption. For various reasons your pet might not end up at the shelter serving your area, so check all. It’s not enough to call them. Even if your pet has tags this doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll be notified. It’s best to act as though your pet didn’t have any identification when conducting your search. And please realize it could be many months before your pet shows up !

Jackson’s owner arrived home from postering to find him waiting at the door! Scratched up and in shock, but hopefully he’ll recover soon!

This is a whatever happened to update of this pretty cat posted in June 2010! She was adopted by someone from Toronto, who drove here to pick her up and she’s very much loved!

Amazingly, Rufus who had been displaced by a neighbour from Montreal to Parc Lafayette in Longueuil was found, thanks to a persevering owner and her flyers. I’m happy to hear that the neighbour was charged and also fined 600$ for his actions!

I lost my tan or brown chihuahua, with a Harley collar. He weighs about 10lbs, I lost him on the night of the 24th of July at the fireworks in Montreal, direction Sherbrooke, and since I am very sad, help me to find him please.

My cat was staying with a friend and was informed today that he escaped out her window. Her address is on de la Montagne Montréal, QC H3G 1B6, so he could be anywhere in the area. He is a dark grey male cat with yellow/greenish eyes and answers to the name Byron. He is not declawed and may have a blue paw print collar if he has not lost it. A reward is offered. I’ve had him since he was a baby and am absolutely distraught as is his brother who remains at home with us. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I lost my cat last night (June 4th) in the McGill Ghetto around Lorne and Prince Arthur. She is a tortoiseshell female, around 3 years old, and has no collar.
My phone number is 438-274-2048. Thanks

During the night of May 7 to 8, our cat Sally got out by the balcony and we’re looking for her since. She had probably taken refuge somewhere to escape the rain, but because of the noise and activity in the area, she hasn’t shown up.
Lost on the corner of Berger and Charlotte (one block east and south of the corner of Ste-Catherine and St-Laurent!) She has no claws, no collar, has several coat colors: black, brown white, spotted. She is very social and meows when she is called “Sally” (usually at least).
I offer a reward to anyone who will help me find her!

I am asking for your help. This cat is homeless and very scared. It’s currently living between Bishop and Rene Levesque. It’s a ghetto area, not safe for a cat to be there so please someone, anyone, would you open your home to this cat? You can foster it until we find someone to adopt it, we just want it out of the streets and into a home with some food and water
