Beatrice-and-Otis

Both these dogs were picked up by dog catchers on the outskirts of Quebec city in Sainte-Marie. No one claimed them and they were going to be euthanized. Crazy me brought them to Montreal.

The female Chow chow/ Golden mix, nicknamed Beatrice (on the left), is on the fearful side and I would like to make an attempt to find the owners once again. She is about 2 years old. She wants to be loved with all her heart and she has chase/attitude problems that I am working on. She looks like she may have lived in a garage or barn or something. She was pretty dirty. I think she may have been roaming for a while. She had no collar. I washed her and brushed her.

The male, nicknamed Otis, is a Husky, Akita, Lab mix??? He is about a year old and is very friendly and easy. He had a choker on him. I need to put these dogs up for adoption but am posting here thinking maybe someone might check it out. I cannot keep these dogs for too long. I have 4 in my home right now and have started doing vet work on them and need them placed.

I don’t know if any of this will help to find their owners but hey it is good to try. If something would come out of this it would be great. In the meantime I need homes for them.

UPDATE NOV 24TH : Loulou was able to find the very handsome “Otis” a new home, after trying unsuccessfully to find his original owners.

She did however find the owners of “Beatrice” on the left, and discovered her name was “Princess Jade”  but unfortunately, it seems there’s no interest in getting her back. She seems to have been some kind of truck dog, and Loulou is working on her “Metropolitan mutt manners.” She’s showing improvement, but needs a new home soon, with someone willing to work with her. She’s young, and only wants love.

UPDATE JAN 31ST : The lovely Beatrice desperately needs a new home. You can read all about her here as well.

UPDATE FEB 16TH : Beatrice finally gets a home after 3 and a 1/2 long months, thanks to the hard work and dedication of Loulou!

Finnigan

It was thought Finnigan was found, but unfortunately it was not him but another very similar, (see above). This about Finnigan:

I lost my cat, Finnigan since November 15, 2009. He lives on Berri, between Duluth and Berri. He was used to going outside and came home punctually for meals. He is fixed but still has his claws. He was not wearing a collar but does have a chip. He is quite sociable and affectionate. If stranded he would seek help, so Im hoping someone picked him up if he got lost. He is 5 years old. Semi-long grey coat with beige on the stomach and around the eyes. His eyes are green. Thank you.

Lancelot

Tabby and white, 4 year old male cat lost at Deux-Montagnes in mid-November. If he didn’t lose it, he has a blue leather collar with a tag from a Longueuil veterinary clinic (the vet’s coordinates and file number of my cat are on the tag). Please contact me if you think you’ve found him.

Cat-found-Petite-Patrie

Petite Patrie, St-Zotique and St-Dominique: A cat has been coming to our door for about a week and seems lost…Young male, gray a little bit tabby white, green eyes, and shaved in a lion cut.

If he matches yours please contact me by email at ani_kounie[at] hotmail[dot] com. Merci! Annie

UPDATE December 18th: I received this message this morning. This cat, first posted on Nov 14th, is in need of help!

Yesterday morning I went out to feed on the balcony and I saw he was bleeding profusely on his neck … We brought him to the vet, who did surgery (he had an open wound the size of a dollar, terribly infected) and he was castrated at the same time. The kitty now needs a place to recover … and unfortunately I can’t keep him at home because I have a cat and a baby of seven months.

He is currently at the vet, but is looking for a home, temporary or permanent.

UPDATE DEC 22 : Once again Isabelle came through and found this one a place at the Animal Rescue Network shelter. Annie and Isabelle are still looking for his owners, but if not found he’s looking for a new home. Apparently he’s a really handsome big boy with his fur longer  and he’s very soft and calm.

UPDATE JAN 9TH : Isabelle has sent me a new photo of “Liam” the gentle giant. looking much better with some new fur, the kind of snuggly cat that’s needed on a cold winter night! He’s still looking for a home!

cat-x1

This kitty, “Doudoune” who was found in St. Hubert has been reunited with her young owner and family. So a happy ending here.

Gizmo

Gizmo has been found after a week on the lam. His family is really thrilled to have him back, and plan to get him and his companion microchipped next week as an extra precaution. Yay Gizmo!

Tina

Happily, the lovely Tina has been returned to her owner after two weeks missing!

Money

We’ve lost our WHITE CAT who answers to the name “Money”, on November 25 in the Côte-des-Neiges on the corner of Darlington and Willowdale. He’s a one year old male who’s very friendly and affectionate. When he disappeared he was wearing a white flea collar with his address:

We live in Park extension and he was last seen on Stuart Ave close to Jarry. We just moved into the area and he has never been gone for longer than a day at most.

I’m deeply saddened to learn that Ziggy has died. He had drowned in a neighbour’s swimming pool. My thoughts are with his family.
