This morning at 7am we saw and tried to keep him with us…a black young un-neutered male pit bull (with a thick chain collar and bandana) that was roaming around 1st ave and laurier. We have two small dogs who he was dominant with (mounting, etc) and we were not sure of his overall temperament so we could not bring him in. The police were called by our neighbors and came. I begged them not to bring him to Berger Blanc but they said they had to. I took a picture of him. He seemed unresponsive to any commands in either English or French but that could be down to being lost. He seemed a bit confused but not scared. I tried arguing with the cops about Berger Blanc and said I would find someone to keep him until his owners are found but he wouldn’t let me… I hope he finds his owners, even though THEY are the type of people who give the beautiful pit the bad reputation. A wandering, un neutered animal wearing a huge chain is scary to many people walking their own dogs and walking alone. SHAME ON YOU! If you read this neuter your dog and make sure he doesn’t escape! Also he is at the Berger Blanc, he went there at 7:30 am. I will keep tabs of him and try and get him out of there into a home or rescue if someone does not claim him. If anyone can help or knows anything please let me know. I can’t stop thinking about this boy.
