She is sorely missed by her family!

A very tiny female Pug ( no more than 6 lbs) was stolen from a homeless man on July 5th near Metro Frontenac while he dozed off on a bench. She is not spayed and does not have a tag or microchip. She’s not a puppy, just a very small Pug. Fawn body with a black face and not wrinkly at all. This photo is not her since we don’t have one to share but it is a good example of what she looks like. We’re asking folks to keep an out for her on sites like Kijiji and Graig’s List since who ever stole her may try to sell her.
Contact number to call is Sophie at (514) 523-5052. Needless to say that she will be going to Sophie’s Rescue if found.

Remington, who was stolen from his home on Feb 28 near Kemptville, Ontario, has made it home to his family! He was purchased from kijiji, and then returned to his owners after posters were spotted! Thanks to Karen, for sending me the story.

There are reports of other purebred dogs who have gone missing in the area, so I hope they’ll make it home too. My heart goes out to the families.

I received a copy of a heartbreaking letter to the man who has Mika. Mika is a now 22 month old blonde lab mix lost in St-Hubert in July of 2010. It seems that she’s been spotted numerous times around the area of Mountainview in St-Hubert. It is apparent from the letter that the person who has Mika is fully aware of the search for Mika, but is choosing to ignore it.
It’s very difficult to lose a pet, but it’s devastating to know that someone is willingly causing you grief. It’s beyond me how anyone can take someone’s companion, especially when there are so many wonderful animals looking for homes and that are being put down on a daily basis because no one wants them. Mika is an important family member, and also an adored companion to the foster kids in Claire’s care. She is dearly missed, so anyone who can help get her back to her family is urged to help. The letter is here (in French).
From Claire :
If anyone knows this man or has information to send us (even anonymously) to help us locate her, please contact us. We offer a generous reward for information that can help us find her. If anyone knows this gentleman please, put him in touch with me, I don’t wish to have any trouble, I just want to get my dog Mika. I am willing to pay all expenses incurred and give him the reward.

I ask your help in finding my dog who was taken from my yard on February 24, 2011. There have been many dogs in my area that have gone missing lately. Thank you for any help and information you may provide in helping me locate Jazzie. I feel like I have been living a nightmare since she disappeared…
If found, please call 613-220-3588 or 613-219-3810. Many, many thanks! Anne.

Gustave is finally back home, after having been abducted by a rescue on January 7th. A little girl cried for her cat during all these weeks, it was necessary to call police and a “donation” of 100.00 was also given. Not too impressive, but I’m glad he’s back home.

Hi, this dog was sold by some homeless guy to a man named Al who has an antique shop in the old port. We’re assuming this dog was stolen. Hopefully someone recognizes this dog and can find it’s original home. It’s a boy shih tzu (cross?) who looks between 1-4 years old.
UPDATE – DEC 26TH : The origins of this dog were never found, but he was lucky enough to find a new family.
