Bibi

My little red cat is lost! His name is Bibi and responds well to his name. He will be 2 years in July. Unfortunately, my vet says that he had a heart murmur of 4/5 at birth. It is a little better, but he’s quickly out of breath! He’s operated, but not declawed. Please, he is my love! Help me find him! I live next to the Centre Marcel Giroux, so if there is something contact me at:

438-869-9348 or 438-882-1205 and leave a message! Thank you very much in advance! I lost him on May 20th in Verdun.

We found a black cat with just a little white on his chest around the beginning of December. We don’t want to post his picture just in case someone wants him but he’s not really theirs. He was found in Verdun around Beurling and Allard streets.

I can be reached at lindze_1[at] hotmail[dot] com or 514-816-5834. Thanks, Lindsay

Cat found in Verdun

Found in Verdun near Valiquette and Bannantyne. First showed up on Monday, August 27th 2009. Defining features: male, fixed, short fur, white stomach, chin and legs with tabby colouring on his back. Good, clean teeth, short/trimmed nails and a clean coat indicate that this guy was well cared for. He is litter trained and doesn’t care much for catnip. He is very friendly and invited himself into our building (and is now very hesitant to leave-he just ventured outside for the first time in over 3 days). He is friendly with, but cautions around my 17 month old son.

We would love to see him go back to his home, but will continue caring for him until we can place him. We can not adopt him ourselves, so if anyone is interested, help would be appreciated.

The best way to contact me is via email: chris.poupart+cat[at] gmail[dot] com

Zoé

We’re looking for our cat Zoé, who’s been missing since Saturday. She’s white with black spots and has green eyes. She also has mittens and small toes on her paws. Zoé is declawed on 4 paws, 7 years old, and has extra thumbs on 4 paws. Lost from our home at the intersection of Argyle/Bannantyne in Verdun,on the north/east side. She usually responds to her name and though she will hiss sometimes at strangers, she’s not mean. Thank you to contact me if you see her. I’ll also be looking to find her quickly. Thanks in advance, Bernard.

I’ve been getting really positive feedback so far on the Petluck blog as well as some really good advice. As well as checking the sites I’ve listed it’s a good idea to put notices in your local veterinary hospitals and see if they’ve maybe been brought in to be examined., and check with shelters and rescues to see if anyone has turned in your animal there,

I received a nice email from Nancy at the Hôpital Vétérinaire Lasalle who along with some new links that I’ve added on the side, has offered some good information for people in that area. Below is a part of the message she sent.

I work at Hôpital Vétérinaire Lasalle where we are also the collection center for strays, surrendered, abandoned and unclaimed cats and dogs. If you receive an email of someone who has lost a cat or a dog in the Lasalle, Verdun or Lachine area, would you be kind enough to direct them to us as we may have their pets. They can contact me at 514-607-7711. When dogs are not claimed, they are transferred to non profit rescue organizations for adoption and unclaimed cats are put up for adoption on our petfinder webpage petfinder.com/shelters/QC51.html and others transferred to other non profit organizations.

I will always keep looking for their little faces in the lost section of classifieds but that would really help if you could tell about our existence.

I always look for lost pets hoping to find the owners of our homeless pets but I find that many people just don’t know where to look and end up giving up looking. We have unclaimed cats sterilized and declawed! I just can’t believe that nobody is coming for them!

Thanks for the great advice Nancy!
